DRYLAND TRAINING & GUIDELINES

Dryland training is a key component of the Gators' athlete development pathway and complements the work completed in the pool. These sessions are designed to support long-term athletic development through strength, coordination, mobility, injury prevention, and overall physical literacy. Swimmers are expected to participate in all scheduled dryland sessions as part of their training program unless alternative arrangements have been discussed with their coach(es).

The Gators partner with Glencoe's Fitness Department to deliver dryland programming. As a result, the dryland fee is administered separately and will appear as a distinct charge on your September or October account statement from the Fitness Department rather than through Gators billing.

For swimmers who are actively engaged in another structured sport, participation requirements may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Families are encouraged to consult with their swimmer's squad coach(es) to determine whether any adjustments to dryland participation are appropriate while maintaining a balanced approach to overall athletic development.
